And another publishing industry shoots itself in the foot because they can't bear to pay the talent what they're worth. Yes, I'm thinking of the recording industry. Way to help individual producers discover that they don't need huge networks when the Internet is sitting there, waiting to be discovered as the best entertainment distribution network ever invented.

I will miss my favorite shows like 30 Rock and The Office but am pretty sure they'll come back after the strike. What I'm really worried about are newer shows like Dirty Sexy Money to which the strike could be fatal. I completely support the writers in their cause but hope there aren't too many casualties.

Unlike their multi-cam brethren, single-cam comedies and dramas film in advance to allow time for network approval process, editing, and post, so most of these series have a handful of episodes remaining to make it through November sweeps at least.

Notice I said MOST. NBC's The Office, for example, only has 2 episodes left (including tomorrow's night's "Survivorman" installment). So after November 15th, no more Office.

Thanks. If production is shut down, do they have any episodes in the can? It seems like traditional multi camera sitcoms would shoot the week they aired, but do shows like the Office and 30 Rock do the same? What about dramas?
