Talk Back: NBC's "The Listener"

Despite my telepathic warnings to you, my readers, did you still tune in last night to NBC's new supernatural/medical drama The Listener?

You had the chance to read my advance review but I am curious to know if you tuned in to watch either of The Listener's two episodes last night and what you thought of the series overall.

Did you think that Craig Olejnik's Toby Logan was compelling? Did you cringe when that woman actually thought, "If only he could read my mind"? Did you like the juxtaposition of medical emergencies and telepathic crime-solving? Did you find it all tired and hackneyed or slick and engaging?

And, most importantly, would you tune in again next week?

Talk back here.

Thank you for the warning about "The Listener" but I tuned in anyway. What a disaster of a show. The entire premise is a little wonky and the actors were anything but "compelling". The lead is an attractive man but not starring role material (and why is his hair so inky black?). I will not watch it again and regret that hour lost from my Thursday. ~A.Stratton

Tried to watch it and had to change channel after 10 mins. Just terrible. Felt like it should be on 3pm on Sat in 1989.

Crappy Canadian T.V. at it's worst again. Pathetic.

I'm a loyal reader and thankfully didn't tune in based on your review. My GF did watch. Two hrs of her life she'll never get back.

Feel asleep after 20 minutes. The one plus about this show is that it works well as a sedative.

Just found this site, but I knew within 3 minutes I wouldn't be tuning in again. A new show needs to draw mw in within 5 minutes or I know it will be too slow for me, and it was. Disappointing as I need some tv for the summer months!

I'm sad it was so lame. I was hoping it would be much better since it is a cool premise (hardly original but that never concerns me). As a Torontonian, I enjoyed the undisguised shots of the city, but I have to admit my son walked out after about 20 minutes and I held on through the full two episodes and it didn't really improve.

ahhh when is the CTV going to get it right? I thought they had finally found their bearings with Flashpoint but it seems like they still can't get out of producing shows that just look too Canadian.

I'm still waiting for the day where we can put out shows of BBC quality that American networks actually want to pick up or remake.
